Muhammad Elsadany joined the Michaelson Lab in 2021 as a student from the Interdisciplinary Graduate Program in Genetics. During his time in the lab, he focused his research on the intersections of autism, twice exceptionality, and mental health..

On April 13, Muhammad successfully defended his PhD dissertation in front of friends and faculty. His thesis, titled "Mechanistic Triangulation Across Molecular, Circuit, and Behavioral Scales," reflects years of research completed during his graduate training in the Michaelson Lab.

With the successful defense of his dissertation, Muhammad earned his PhD in Genetics and graduated in May. He is now based in New York, where he works as Associate Manager in the Clinical Informatics Department at the Regeneron Genetics Center. We are excited to see where his career takes him next and congratulate him on this outstanding achievement!
