Ben Kelvington is a postdoctoral fellow studying the molecular mechanisms underlying learning and memory, as well as the disruption of these processes in the context of neurodevelopmental disorders (NDDs). He is working with the Michaelson laboratory to understand how genome integrity is maintained during learning and how inability to maintain genome integrity contributes to the challenges associated with NDDs. He earned a B.A. in Biochemistry from Augustana University (SD) and a Ph.D. in Biomedical Science from the University of Iowa before joining the Michaelson lab in 2026.
