Gina Timberlake
In her role with the Michaelson Lab, Gina has attended clinic appointments for study recruitment as well as collected and entered data for families with a child who has been diagnosed with a neurodevelopmental condition. This lab sparked her interest because she have experienced first-hand family members who have been diagnosed with neurodevelopmental conditions and she wants to improve the understanding and diagnosing these conditions. Her career goal is to attend medical school to become a pediatrician because she is fascinated by the human body and has a love for helping others. Some of her favorite, non-academic hobbies is her love for dance. She has been a dancer since she was 2 years old and have done everything from ballet, to Irish dance, to poms. Here at Iowa, she have combined her love for dancing and helping others by participating in the annual Dance Marathon.
